My condolences to the family during this difficult time. No one can prepare us for the grief we experience when we lose a loved one. However, we can always find comfort from God's word. At 1 Peter 5:7, we are encouraged to "throw all your anxiety on him, because he (God) cares for you". Although missed, your loved one is not forgotten, and God who is the life giver is eager to restore to life those who have fallen asleep in death and promises to do so by means of a resurrection (John 5:28,29).

I am deeply saddened by the loss of such a wonderful man. Hal had a talent for brightening the day of all those he met. Although I only had a chance to meet him a couple of times, he left a big impression on me and showed me that there are people in this world with unwavering care for others. Hal will be sorely missed. To Cindy, Terri, Paul, Shelby and the rest of the family - my sincere condolences. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

What a perfect photo of Hal, and a reminder that such a photo is worth a thousand words. The minute I met Cindy and Hal, I knew I would like them and that our bond would grow deep. We spent hours, days, months and years in work related projects, but we were more than co-workers, instead we developed a bond like family. It's great when someone's laugh can be contagious. Or that they can laugh, chuckle or smile, even when the subject matter is less then desirable. We celebrated many desirable events, holidays, birthdays and anniversaries. I was thinking of Hal all day Sunday, mentioning him four times. At dinner I mentioned that I needed to see him soon. I soon learned of his passing. The next morning, I watched the sunrise to honor and celebrate Hal. I recalled our last conversation, which was a while back, and realized our last conversation was so perfect, so heartfelt, it could not be duplicated and that conversation was truly meant to be that, the last conversation. The rest of the communication will be from the heart. I can hear his voice, see the twinkle in his eyes and hear his laugh. We had a blast, albeit sometimes at the expense of a life saver, a semi-melted cassette tape audio, or the little drummer boy. I can feel the love. I remember and cherished the car conversations, the event chat, your business endeavors. I even remember the choices of font on the Springs Funeral Services logo. My world, and the world of those that had the privilege to know is a better place because of Hal. It takes many stars to light up the sky. Thank you, Hal, for being part of my constellation. God speed. Respectfully with love, David (Cummings)

I've dreaded this day ever since I learned of his illnesses even though I know he's finally relieved of those problems. Hal has been an incredible part of the family. He's always been generous; I can't count the number of times he and Cindy have put me up when I visited the Springs and I cherish all of them. He was a wonderful husband and father. He was organized and kept his priorities straight. More than anything, though, Hal wanted everyone to enjoy life - and he certainly enjoyed it. I love the guy and will miss him very much.

When Laurie and I first joined the Colorado Springs Corvette Club we remember Hal as being one of the friendliest members. He made us feel very welcome and truly glad to have us. One of our favorite memories of Hal was at the convention with Walt.......Gilligan and Skipper!!

Words cannot express how we feel about Hal. He was truly a dynamo! He immediately became your friend the second that he met you. We will miss his truly genuine sense of humor at our Holiday parties at the Mercedes-Benz Club of America. They will never be the same! He and Cindy were such a wholesome and stabilizing force in all that they participated in. We love you both. Owen and Geni Wallen.

The three Musketeers (Hal, Walt, and I-as we were called) had some times at the NCCC National Governor meetings and the convention in Colorado Springs. He was a great guy with a great and fun filled personality. After reading a posting by Cindy, I called Hal. He wasn't able to talk to me, so I left message. Hal returned my phone call and it was nice to hear from him after so long. Hal will be missed by a lot of people. My condolences to Cindy and the family. Rest in Peace Hal.
