Obituary of Robert William Stapleton

Heaven has gained a beautiful angel. Bob Stapleton was a kind, caring, compassionate and gentle person. He loved his wife, Sharon Stapleton with every beat of his heart and he loved his children and grandchildren more than words can express. He was a great husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, friend and mentor for many people throughout the years. His kindness to many will never be forgotten and the love he gave to his family will truly be missed.Bob was born and raised in Fort Dodge, Iowa. After he graduated high school, he moved to Granby, Colorado and he worked at a Ranch.� After a couple of years, he moved to Denver, Colorado and he worked in an Italian Restaurant.� He then moved to Evergreen, Colorado to work at the Little Bear where he met the love of his life, Sharon and her two sons, Tom and Kelly, whom he proudly adopted in 1973.� Bob and Sharon got married on December 29, 1969, in Golden, Colorado and they had their three daughters, Jessie, Katie, and Andi. Throughout their marriage, they lived in Evergreen, Colorado; Kalispell, Montana; Albuquerque, New Mexico; Tijeras, New Mexico; and Colorado Springs, Colorado.�Bob worked in the restaurant business a majority of his adult life.� He was passionate about the restaurant industry and he loved to support, train and mentor all his staff.� He took pride in training young people and teaching them the importance of good work ethics. He was respected by many throughout his career in the restaurant industry.�He was the true definition of a family man and he devoted all his extra time to his family.� He loved coaching his daughter's softball teams, family BBQ's, spending time by the pool, skiing, camping, riding his ATV and watching the Denver Broncos with them.� His family was his most prized possession and he took great pride in showing his wife and children how much he loved them each and every day.� Bob is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sharon Stapleton of Colorado Springs; sons, Tom Stapleton of Edgewood, New Mexico and Kelly Stapleton of Westcliffe, Colorado; daughters, Jessie (Jeremy) Parks of Colorado Springs, Katie (Steve) Lowder of Sandy, Utah, and Andi (Lucas) Romero of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and his eleven grandchildren, James Davis, Kelly Stapleton, Jr., Jeremy Parks, Jr., Kylie Parks, Megan Parks, Katelyn Lowder, Mateo Romero, Dante Romero, Austin Lowder, Chloe Lowder, and Brooklyn Romero.Memorial Service, 11:00AM, Friday, May 3, 2019, The Springs Funeral Services-North, 6575 Oakwood Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80923.
