I remember the day that June and I planned taking her pictures to send to loved ones for Christmas. We planned a day and my best friend Sheri (someone grandma also loved dearly) helped pick out her outfit. When I arrived, I asked her which tree she wanted to take her pictures by and she wanted to have them with the one "on the back porch, it's such a beautiful tree" June said. And so I took picture after picture and she was getting frustrated, which could clearly been seen in the pictures toward the end. afterwards, I showed her the pictures of her and she said "oh honey. I just look awful. Look at how ugly I am, all those wrinkles" (i can still hear her voice in my mind) and i looked at her and said "Grandma! You are NOT ugly!" And she said "yes I am honey just look." I crouched down and looked into her eyes and said grandma, beauty is in the heart and you are beautiful inside and out! I made several copies for her to send to her loved ones with Christmas cards. Although when I returned to do puzzles with her she hadn't made the cards out yet, I enjoyed the time and her and I spent and laughing and enjoying eachother like we always did. Grandma didnt make it to her birthday but she has made it with her son, her daughter and many more lives that she missed and today she is in heaven celebrating, with her children that have passed on and I know she is happy. I love you Grandma June Bug! Ferd wanted me to stop by Monday and tell you he loves you and give you a hug from him, but you had passed away before I could come but you know how much we love you and you are watching us from above. Rejoice! We love you Grandma, June Bug for the beautiful soul that you are.
