Obituary of Evangeline Marie Kirby

Vangie Kirby, 88, went home to be with the Lord on June 10, 2019 after a brief illness. She was a homemaker who had also worked in a greenhouse, the Embers Restaurant and was a part of the ministry of First Pentecostal Church in Colorado Springs. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. She was also active in the Red Hat Society.Evangeline Marie Kirby was born on December 5, 1930 in Lamar, Colorado to the late Leslie and Eva (Maxwell) Gilbert. She graduated from Colorado Springs High School in 1948 and worked all of her life raising a family and keeping up her historic home, downtown. Vangie married Ramond E. Presley and later, William Kirby.She is preceded in death by her husband, William Kirby; her former husband, Ramond E. Presley; and her mother and father.Vangie is survived by her sons, William Presley and Michael Presley of Colorado Springs, Colorado; her grandson, Daniel (Becca) Presley of Fountain, Colorado; and five great-grandchildren, Jeffrey, Alyssa, Alex, Bailey and Ricky.
