Obituary of Eddie Havens

It is with great sadness that the family of Eddie Havens announces his passing after a brief illness, on Friday, July 5, 2019, at the age of 52 years. Remembered and loved forever, Eddie is survived by his mother, Joan Marie Havens.�Eddie was preceded in death by his father, Edward R. Havens.��He is lovingly remembered by his wife of eighteen years, Ilonka; and his children, Jeffrey, Alex (Whitney), Ilonka, Tomas and Eddie. Eddie will be fondly remembered by his�four grandchildren, Lucille, Penelope, Haylee and Weslee. Eddie was preceded in death by his grandchild, Erick. He is survived by his sisters, Ethel Havens, Theresa Havens-Garrison and Debbie (Keith) Havens; his brother, Frank (Brian) Havens-Delaney; and his sister, Megan Havens.�Born and raised in Salinas, California, Eddie transplanted to Colorado Springs on July 4, 2005; but never lost the memories of riding bikes from Ramona Avenue to El Gabilan and beyond, and�chasing bullies away from school water fountains or making teachers chase him on the playground. Eddie loved to spend time with his grandchildren, he loved the ocean and he was an incredible carpenter. Eddie was baptized at Oak Park Pentecostal Church in Salinas, California at the age of 3. He rededicated his life to Christ in 2019 and lived his final days in peace with his wife.
