One of my best memories is a perfect day spent as a foursome (Jerry, Diane, myself and Brian), going to Manitou Springs on a lunch date. It's rare when newly introduced men get along as easily as the established women friends. Jerry's natural ease, punctuated with a nimble wit, left us pleasantly rewarded by this genial new friend. Brian and I are grateful for the connection we made with Jerry on that long-ago day. We will always hold it and Jerry in special regard.

Message from my mom to the wonderful family Jerry's meaningful and lovingly presented Memorial Service on August 21, brought both tears and laughter to each one in attendance. Every detail from the music, picture video to the Military Honors was inspiring and beautiful. There is no perfect way to say goodbye to someone so deeply loved by his family but they came very close. Whether you were a Brother in Arms, a hunting or fishing buddy, a Commissary co-worker, a member of the bowling team or Pikes Peak ABWA , fellow believer, neighbor, valued friend or cherished family, you were an intrinsic part of Jerry's remarkable life's journey. Jerry and I served in the Army together while I was stationed at Ft.Carson. We also road to work together and became the best of friends. I remember the picture of Shelly and I shown in the photo tribute, going to the dog track and having the best of times with him and Diane. He will forever be remembered and forever missed. We thank God we had the opportunity to spend time in his world and he in ours. Last but not least, my most recent visit was through happenstance, or a God wink. On 9 March 2017, God afforded me the opportunity to spend time with him and Diane after not seeing them for well over 10 years. I had to verbally wrestle with Diane to allow me to take this picture. Little did we know, this picture represents what would be our final time on this side of heaven together. We will always cherish our memories and special friendship. We love you, and thank God for allowing our paths to cross.

Jerry was the best friend anyone could have and met everyone with a great handshake. He was full of love, happiness, smiles and spoke of family on every fishing and hunting trip. Always a great mentor and loved to joke around...I will forever remember the apron. You are missed my friend, by everyone you touched.

Mr. Jerry and Diane came to my fish fry. Jerry told me how much he enjoyed the fish. It made me smile. Jerry will be missed. I have a spiritual feeling he is ok too. God never leaves us. I pray the Lord comfort the family. Love, Yvonne Roberts

Jerry was always full of quiet and wonderful surprises. I remember one evening, out with his lovely Diane who would have been happy to sit through a melodious evening to the music of Arch Hooks when he lovingly lured her to the dance floor. Jerry was quite the dancer, and Diane sparkled a history making moment with him in an unforgettable evening of precious memories. The biggest surprise--Diane doesn't dance!
