Obituary of Lee Arthur DeKrey

Lee DeKrey, 59, of Las Animas, Colorado, died of heart disease in his home on September 8, 2019, at 5:00PM.�He was born February 15, 1960, in Bismarck, North Dakota, and grew up in Lemmon, South Dakota. His parents were Art and Ramona (Billington) DeKrey, who preceded him - Art in 1997 and Ramona in 2018. He had two sisters, Nan Jahner and Eve Bjornsgaard. He was married to Eunkyoung "Cecilia" Beak, and was previously married to Kim New (1988-1993), and Deborah Bullock (1998-2005).Lee received his degree in nursing in 1985 and worked as an RN with the VA hospital system for twenty years. He also worked with the Baylor Health Care System in Waxahachie, Texas, and Kaiser Permanente in Los Angeles.�His hobbies included motorcycles, firearms, technology, and finances. He was involved with the Boy Scouts of America when he was a young man.� His thirst for knowledge was unquenchable - he was always seeking more things to know. He was without a doubt one of the most intelligent people many of us had ever known. Anything that he thought he could do himself, he learned how and did it. His negotiation skills were unmatched.�He is survived by his wife, Eunkyoung; daughter, Adrianne Rodrigues; son-in-law, Daniel; two grandchildren, Andrew and Lily; and sisters, Nan and Eve.�A private close family viewing was held on September 12, 2019.
