Obituary of Frances Harris Barker

Frances Harris Barker, 78, a resident of Medalion Retirement Community, died October 16, 2019. She was known as "Fran" by her many friends and family members. She was born on Christmas Eve, 1940 in Jacksonville, Florida to Frances and Fulton Powers.Fran had many adventures in her life and made many friends along the way. She worked briefly as a model in New York City and eventually earned a license in Cosmetology to work in Colorado where she resided until the time of her death.She enjoyed watching funny movies, loved to shop for clothing and jewelry, and was always available to talk to a friend or family member. Fran was very loving and kind to those in her life. She was fiercely loyal and true to those she loved which was one of her greatest traits.Fran is survived by her brother, Harry; daughter, Angela; and son, Brett; along with nearly a dozen grandchildren.
