Obituary of Emma "Mady" Mae Smith

Mady Smith, a longtime resident of Colorado Springs, passed away on Monday, November 4, 2019.Mady is known as the "Beer Mustard Queen". In 1982 she created her Beer Mustard empire, now known as "Mady's Specialty Foods". Her Beer Mustard is sold in numerous local grocery stores in Colorado Springs and in many restaurants and specialty shops throughout the area. Her legacy will continue through one of her children.Mady enjoyed being an entrepreneur. She enjoyed delivering her mustard to the specialty shops and restaurants. She thrived on giving the "Personal Touch".Mady is survived by her three children, Leonard Berry of Colorado Springs, Steven Berry of Lewiston, Maine and Carolyn Landers of Colorado Springs; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.No services will be held, as it was Mady's wish.
