Dixie Marie Gasper, 73, died November 25, 2019 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was a resident of Pueblo West, Colorado.She was born January 14, 1946 to Alvin George and Reba (Dixon) Turner in Webb City, Missouri. Dixie grew up in Granby, Missouri and graduated from Crowder College and Missouri State College in Springfield. She was a K-12 English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher and a homemaker. Dixie attended Sunrise Methodist Church and The Oasis Christian Church. She was a CSU-Pueblo International Student Friendship partner. Dixie traveled the world with her family and maintained close friendships around the world.She is survived by her husband of forty-nine years, Stephen "Steve" Gasper; her sons, Nathan (Kris) Gasper and Jeremy (Tara) Gasper; six grandchildren, Shari, Matthew, Tanner, Kat, Thad and Alexa; her great-grandson, Atticus; and her sister, Kathy (Tom) Wood.Memorial Service, 2:00PM, Wednesday, November 27, 2019, The Oasis Christian Church, 347 South Del Norte Avenue, Pueblo West, Colorado 81007.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Dixie's memory may be made to the Bear Trap Ranch, 8655 Old Stage Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80906.
