Alan and I went to high school together. Started out as friends and ended up high school sweethearts. And later we were married. We lived in several different places. Not different towns, but houses. I got bored of the one we were in. He'd come home from work. And I would tell him " We're moving"! His only response was "Again?" Alan was a good husband and father. Very patient and loving. We had more good times than bad. Did a lot of camping , 4x4 trails, and spending time with family and friends. And since Alan was an athlete. He had many friends. He will be missed dearly. Its still so hard to believe he is gone. Rest in peace. You'll always have a piece of my heart that no one can replace.

I remember Alan and Michelle coming to Utah to spend the summers with Grandma and Grandpa Andrews and Jim and me. He was always exploring and sometimes to his own benefit. I remember him climbing the big sycamore in the back yard. I was in the house and hear him screaming like he was dying! "Uncle Rob! Help me!" I raced out of the house and couldn't see him but I could hear him up in that tree screaming his lungs out. I don't think I've every climbed that tree faster! Here he was, hanging upside down by one ankle! Talk about one lucky kid! Had his ankle not gotten caught in the fork in the limbs, he would have dropped 30 feet to the ground but only after banging into all the limbs on his way! One summer Grandpa and I had worked to make sure the kids all had bicycles to ride. And they had great fun on them until Alan crashed and broke his arm! I had to call Grandma to come home and take him to the ER to get his arm fixed! This is when we found out that Grandma and Grandpa needed something to give them permission to seek medical help for these kids if they got hurt! It took a couple of hours to track down their dad and get the authorization to set his arm and get it into a cast! The bummer, no more bike rides for him! He was always good for an adventure!
