Obituary of Winifred "Lavada" Stelter

Lavada Stelter, 94, gained her angel wings January 20, 2020 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was born December 19, 1925 in Westcliffe, Colorado to Leo Winfred and Hazel Enola (Seeley) Padgett in Westcliffe, Colorado.Lavada was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.A Wife A Mother A Grandmother too,This is the legacy we have from you,You taught us love and how to fight,You gave us strength, you gave us might.A stronger person would be hard to findAnd in your heart, you were always kind.You fought for us all in one way or another,Not just as a wife not just as a mother or grandmother, sister or friend.For all of us you gave us your all,Now time has come for you to rest.So go be in peace, you've earned your rest.Your Love in our hearts, we'll eternally keep.Lavada is survived by children, Brenda (Murllin) Howetter, Eric (Deb) Stelter, Herlinda Stelter (Brad Moore), Verlene (Robert) Peterson; brother, Lonnie Padgett; children by heart, Jeff (Gilda) Outlar, Tamra (Mathew) Copeland; twenty-two grandchildren; thirty-four great-grandchildren; fifteen great-great-grandchildren; and many grandchildren by heart.
