Obituary of Doris Lorraine Chamberlain

Doris was born in Nebraska on April 7, 1930 to Rudolf and Viola (Foss) Thiesfeld. Directly after high school, Doris taught in a one-room school house. On November 27, 1948 she married her high school sweetheart, John "Jack" Chamberlain. They were married for seventy-one years. Their legacy of love includes six children, fourteen grandchildren, and thirty great-grandchildren. Doris with Jack were entrepreneurs of several business endeavors.She was an avid gardener and enjoyed long mountain drives, art festivals and hot air balloons.Her quiet nature hid her inner strength, Doris was the rock of our family. Doris' loving and playful spirit was best expressed when she played with children. Doris' strong faith carried her throughout her life. She was an active member of Bethel Lutheran Church. Doris joined her beloved Jack February 3, 2020.She is survived by daughters, Ardyce (Dwayne) Kattenberg, Lorraine "Lori" Paine and Janette Chamberlain; sons, Jerry (Kathy) Chamberlain, Darrell (Mary) Chamberlain and Roy (Deb Weaver) Chamberlain; fourteen grandchildren and thirty great-grandchildren.
