Obituary of Georgie Mae O'Neill

Georgie (Netterfield) (Woodsome) O'Neill passed away on February 11, 2020 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was born February 7, 1935 to Ervin and Thelma Netterfield. Beloved mother, she is survived by sons, Timothy (Nan) Woodsome, Robin (Susie) Woodsome and Mark (Lucinda) Woodsome; and daughter, Laurie (Skip) Raynor. Son, Michael Woodsome, preceded her in death in 1995. Georgie was also a proud and loving grandmother to five grandchildren, Nick (Alexa), Scott and Michaela Raynor, Samantha (Brett) Pantenburg and Tyler Woodsome. Four great-grandchildren completed her family, Anthony Raynor, Nolan Woodsome, Cait and Emma Pantenburg. Georgie was also loving step-mother to Eddie O'Neill, Danny (Amy) O'Neill and Megan O'Neill.Georgie's life was filled with adventure living in Chicago, Illinois and Colorado Springs, Colorado in her youth. Her marriage to Richard Woodsome produced five children and would see them living throughout the U.S. while pastoring in the Church of God. A highlight of her life was spending seven years in Kenya, East Africa devoted to mission work.Married to Daniel O'Neill in 1982, she and Dan lived in Colorado Springs, devoting their years together to family. Children, step-children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the loves of her life, and were all blessed by her loving and fun spirit.In her own words, "I have great love for all animals who have been part of my life, the many friends along the way, and the joy of my church, and the part it has played in making my life complete. I have not only loved, but have felt loved all my life and blessed beyond all expectations.
