Venus Marie Moody, 60, passed away at home surrounded by her family on February 12, 2020 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.She was born July 19, 1959 in Troy, New York to Coleman Kenneth and Geraldine Isabel (Viegn) Russell. Venus was a homemaker and had been a CNA earlier in her life.She loved music and cats. Venus loved her family very much and loved to please others. She never missed a birthday, holiday, anniversary, etc. for anyone she knew and loved and always left a ray of sunshine wherever she went. She is preceded in death by her father, Coleman Kenneth Russell.Venus is survived by her husband, Carl Eugene Moody of Colorado Springs; sons, Michael David Moody and Christopher Robert (Bobbi Jo) Moody of Colorado Springs; daughter, Angela Doman (John Boone) of Colorado Springs; mother, Geraldine Isabel Russell of Waterford, New York; sister, Isabel Russell of Mechanicville, New York; brother, Kenneth Coleman (Jacqueline Lee) Russell of Troy, New York; twelve grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.Visitation, 9:30AM-11:30AM, with Funeral Service immediately following, 11:30AM, Monday, February 17, 2020, The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 East Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80909.
