Obituary of Lawrence Sebben

Lawrence Sebben, 85, of Colorado Springs, died Wednesday, February 19, 2020 where he lived at Morning Star Assisted Living. Lawrence was born in Sopris, Colorado on January 6, 1935. He was the son of John and Rose (Terry) Sebben. He married the love of his life, Frances Slavec, on August 2, 1969. After they got married, they moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado the same year.Lawrence loved his family more than anything. His two sons, Lawrence and Dean, were his pride and joy. Lawrence was a dedicated husband to his wife, Frances, and they were happily married for over forty-seven years. A dedicated teacher as well as basketball coach, Lawrence influenced many young adults throughout his teaching career.He always had a smile that would touch everyone and would light up a room. A handshake was never good enough for Lawrence, he always wanted a hug. He sincerely enjoyed a good Denver Bronco football game, Sunday supper with spaghetti and meatballs, and a good bottle of red wine. Lawrence was also a devoted Catholic who put friends and family above all else. He is survived by his two sons, Lawrence (Brook) Sebben and Dean (Christine) Sebben, both of Colorado Springs; two grandchildren, Lorenzo and Vincent Sebben of Colorado Springs; one sister, Yvonne (John) Reorda; and one brother, John (Mary Lou) Sebben, both of Colorado Springs Colorado; and numerous nieces and nephews.
