Obituary of Annie Marie Russo

Annie Marie Russo, 57, passed away unexpectedly on February 28, 2020 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. She was known for her creative spirit, ever present sense of humor, and devotion to family and friends. Her selfless nature was evident in all she did, whether it was surprising her kids with care packages, rescuing lost pets, or cheering up residents at the local care center. She enjoyed serving the communities of St. Peter Catholic Church and Antelope Trails Elementary School. Annie loved to decorate. She would find bargains at thrift stores and use her creativity to craft beautiful works of art to adorn her home with. Her family and friends knew each time they came to the house, there would be something unique and different. Neighborhood children knew her door was always open and she was a favorite babysitter when their parents were away. An assortment of rescue animals found their way into Annie's home, including her cherished dachshunds, Winston and Wendy. Annie's nurturing spirit embraced all who entered her orbit. However, her greatest treasures were her husband, Bob, and daughters, Lauren and Tatum, for whom she showed beaming pride and loving devotion. She adored spontaneous day trips with Bob and was a faithful travel partner on many road trip adventures across the country. Most of all, she served as the cornerstone of the family, imprinting their home and lives with her creative energy and generous nature.
