Obituary of Charles Leon Lurvey, Sr.
Charles Leon Lurvey, Sr., 86, passed away March 3, 2020 at his home in Peyton, Colorado.He was born September 3, 1933 to Golan Henry and Luella (Clark) Lurvey in Woodstock, Vermont.Charles was an automotive mechanic for Gray's Tire and Auto for over thirty years. He also was a baker for a short time and a veteran of the United States Air Force.� He loved the outdoors, taking care of his mule and horses. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Charles married his loving wife, Peggy Jo (Frost) Lurvey on January 24, 1956 and had five children, Cheryl, Nylene, Charles Jr., Pamela and Michael.��He is preceded in death by his parents, Golan and Luella; his two sisters, Lucille and Gertrude; and two sons, Michael and Charles Lurvey, Jr.��Charles is survived by his wife, Peggy Jo Lurvey; daughters, Cheryl Cash, Nylene (Gene) Johnson and Pamela Lurvey; six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; brothers, Cecil Lurvey, Golan (Betty) Lurvey, Jr. and Bernie (Alberta) Lurvey; and several nieces and nephews.�Memorial Service, 2:00PM, Sunday, March 8, 2020, The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 East Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80909.
