Obituary of Ethel Alice Lahman

Ethel Alice Lahman, 85, went home to be with her Lord on March 4, 2020.Ethel was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend of many. Ethel was born in Los Angeles, California, on March 14, 1934 and was a 1952 graduate of Eagle Rock High School. In 1954, she married Galen, a handsome U.S. Marine from Ohio. After their military service, they settled in Ohio for more than 50 years before moving to Colorado Springs in 2014.In addition to raising and caring for her family, Ethel was active in her church, singing in the choir and on the worship team, leading the women's ministry, and as a lay minister, mentoring younger wives and mothers. Ethel's hobbies included shopping, cooking, sewing, ceramics, cross-stitch, needle point, gardening, and anything that involved plants or animals. Her love of the outdoors came from her father who was a naturalist and caretaker in Griffith Park in Los Angeles, California.She is preceded in death by her parents, Percy and Mildred Hawk.
