Obituary of Janet Lorraine Lopez

On Thursday, March 12, 2020, Janet Lorraine Lopez of Colorado Springs, Colorado left this earth to be with our Lord at the age of 69. Janet was born January 21, 1951 to Anthony E. Lopez and Louise Santillanes-Lopez in Sydney, Nebraska. In her early childhood, she and her family relocated back to Colorado, where her parents were from, and where she would continue to grow up and spend the rest of her life. She believed strongly in working hard to provide for herself and her family. She passed this passion and work ethic on to her children. She obtained a degree in Business Management and was able to work her way from the bottom into upper management in the Manufacturing industry. Janet was known to her family and friends as being strong, loving, lively, and generous. She never hesitated to help those around her in need. Janet enjoyed watching football; she was a NY Giants girl. She loved music, dancing, exercising and staying healthy. She also had a passion for flowers, especially roses, but above all she loved her family and the Lord who she is no doubt rejoicing with in heaven now.Janet is preceded in death by her father, Anthony; mother, Louise; and brother, Steve. She is survived by two sisters, Darlene and Debbie; three children, Crystal Hart, Stephanie Valdez-Roggie (husband, Jeff), and Joel Valdez (wife, Carrie); ten grandchildren, Ashley, Brennen, Brittanie, Adonis, Andrew, Alisia, Tyler, Summer, Serenity, and Brooklyn; and three great-grandchildren, Meliah, Isaiah, and Sophia. Janet was very loved and will be truly missed by all of those that knew her. No services are planned per her request, but feel free to honor Janet's memory with a prayer, or planting flowers somewhere they will be enjoyed. Her family thanks everyone who knew and loved her.
