Tony posted a condolence
Thursday, January 1, 1970
I was saddened to hear the news of Craig's passing. Craig and I became close friends when we were both stationed at Norton AFB California in the late 80's. He was a man of great faith and played drums/guitar at church. I admired Craig's high moral character; he was the strongest Christian I have ever met. One of my fondest memories of Craig was when we delivered supplies to an orphanage in Tijuana, Mexico for World Vision. He was so passionate about the kids. We didn't just drop off the supplies and leave, he took the time to learn Spanish so he could interact and spend time with them. He loved it that the kids would laugh at his "classroom" Spanish and correct him in the "right" way to speak the language. He was so good with those kids! He was also a great example for all of us who had the pleasure of knowing him and would make time for anybody. I'm thankful we found each other online before his passing. My deepest condolences to his family. The world lost a true "salt of the earth" in Craig. Tony Bixel
