Obituary of Charles Albert Delwarte, Jr.
Charles (Chuck) A. Delwarte, Jr. passed peacefully at home surrounded by family on March 23, 2020. Chuck was born March 1, 1950, in Tucson, Arizona and graduated from Tucson High School in 1968. He received his BA from the University of Phoenix in 2000.His work history included coordinating rehab jobs for HUD properties, field manager for HVAC companies, software support person at NxTrend, professional photographer, and blaster in copper mines. Chuck served in the U.S. Army 509th of the 3rd Brigade for two years. During this time he wrote stories for the post newspaper and enjoyed jumping out of airplanes.His hobbies included scuba diving, woodworking, photography, climbing, camping, shooting and fishing. He attended Woodmen Valley Church and volunteered in the AV department and disaster recovery team. Loving to travel, he enjoyed multiple scuba diving excursions, National Parks visits, Caribbean cruises, European River cruises, and journeys to Alaska and Hawaii.Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Virginia (Hersey) Delwarte, Sr.; and a son, Charles A. Delwarte, III. Chuck is survived by his wife of twenty-five years, Ann Delwarte; children, Flint (Diana) Callaway, Kimberly (Jim) Brackett, Kelly (Brian) Fasterling, Mark Schultz, Donna (Robert) Regan and Jeffrey (Rosie) Delwarte; eleven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two sisters, Kathy Gibson and Melanie Larson.We miss your hugs, the sound of your voice, and your laugh. We were blessed by your giving heart and unselfish ways and the impact you had in each of our lives. We think of you every day!Celebration of Life, 2:00PM, Sunday, July 12, 2020, The Springs Funeral Services-North, 6575 Oakwood Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80923. The service will be streamed live.
