I met Lori at Sunrise Methodist when the single adults would get together there once a month to have a potluck and play games. We became friends and she taught me to crochet. I invited her to join our Happy Hookers crochet group, and we had so much fun. I will miss my sweet friend. Janis Young, Happy Hooker.

Mom, you were strong when you wanted to be. Some (me) might even call you stubborn. But, when you put your mind to it, you were determined to finish it, whether it be a task, or an argument. This determination also meant that your projects would get finished. You put yourself to work when the family needed more money, and you put yourself to task when there were baby items to be made, or quilts or shawls to donate. If you told someone you would pray for them, you did. Right then and there, sometimes, because your faith was also strong. You were a perfectionist. And that meant that not only would your projects be done, but they would be done right, even if it meant tearing out rows of knitting or crochet, or pulling up a seam. Anyone who received your gifts could be sure they would look amazing and last through time. You taught me that, mom. I know how to knit and crochet, and cook and sew because of you, and I know how to fix it when it isn't right. You were generous with your gifts, and your time. The family always had something to wear, and blankets to keep warm. When you had us full with plenty, you made sure to give and donate to those who didn't. You will be remembered as a person with a warm, kind heart, and a generous spirit. You will be missed here on earth, but your husband no longer waits at the gates for you, because you have come home.

Seeing Lori's beautiful smile was a joy on Sunday mornings. We will miss her willing heart to sew so many ways by crocheting or quilting for others' needs. A tree will be planted in her memory.

I remember visiting with Aunt Lori at her place waaay back when I was very young and Tony Sr. was there and Tony II was around 14 years old. I just remember the interactions she had with my mom, her sister Kathy, and how loving Aunt Lori always was toward her and myself and Janelle. Last time I saw her was around the time of my mothers funeral. She took it hard but it meant a lot to know she cared so much. Aunt Lori, you were a gentle spirit here on Earth, and I am happy for you that you are in the presence of not only your family, but most importantly your Savior and your Creator. What awesomeness you must be witnessing right now. You are missed here, but, knowing that we share a Savior, I know with 100% certainty I will spend eternity with you when I am called home. Until then, put in a good word for us that we may be comforted in this time of separation from you. I love you.
