Obituary of Joe L. Nelson

Joe Nelson, 84, died April 7, 2020 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.He was born into a family of five children on January 25, 1936 to Wisdom and Edna (Wright) Nelson in Danville, Illinois.Joe traveled the world with the United States Air Force. He was a friend and mentor to many.He is preceded in death by two sons, Larry Smith and Kevin Nelson.Joe is survived by his wife, Dolores F. Johnson; daughters, Deborah Smith, Michelle Nelson, Darlene Nelson, Joanne (Joy) Chestnut; son, Greg Nelson; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Surviving family members.Memorial Service will be held at a later date due to Covid restrictions.
