Obituary of Freddie Lee Venson, Jr.

Freddie Lee Venson Jr., was born to the late Freddie Venson, Sr. and Maude Venson on March 7, 1961 in Alexandria, Louisiana. He was widowed to Donna M. Venson who preceded him in death. Fred attended Greater Christ Temple Apostolic Church in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was a graduate of Ash High School in Alexandria, Louisiana. Fred was a great auto mechanic, enjoyed cooking for everyone and loved fishing.Fred departed this life into the arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ at home, here in Colorado Springs, Colorado on May 3, 2020. Fred loved his family, children and grandchildren very much. He was always willing to give a helping hand to all who needed.Fred's memory will always be cherished by: his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Venson; Kendrick, (Leslie) Shorter, of Alexandria, Louisiana; Cierra Venson & Jaylen Jones, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Madilynn Lee Edwards, of Cheyenne, Wyoming; Mercedes and Leland Bates of Ca�on City, Colorado; Robert, Ellen, Joe and Pearl Venson.Fred was preceded in death by his brothers, Donald and David (Tookie); Trey and Loni Harris; Fekeshia Carter and Michael Gilliam. Fred is also survived by his grandchildren, Kaidence, Carli, Cassion, Justyce, Malaysia and a host of relatives, friends and special friend Leisa Gordon.Fred will be missed and always remembered for his sense of humor, his kindness towards people and his contagious laugh. A Candlelight Vigil will be held at 7:00 PM, on Friday, May 22, 2020, at 1228 Delaware Drive, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80909.
