Mrs. Hayden was my math teacher in 7th grade, but before that, she was my basketball coach. Mrs. Hayden was one of the best coaches I've ever had and she made me fall in love with the sport even more. Mrs. Hayden was always a mother figure to everyone… One time in her 7th grade math class I was eating cough drops because I didn't have time to eat breakfast and she took me to her cabinet and gave me food to eat. I'll never forget at the end of the year when she signed my yearbook and wrote more than any of my other teachers, she told me that it was a honor having me in her class and to never get lazy and stay humble. I miss Mrs. Hayden so much but I will always have a piece of all the advice she gave me throughout the years to take on.

I will forever be grateful for the love that Sara gave to my children. My son, Dylan, did so well in her class and my daughter,Dorsey, says the memories from softball championship are best because she was in them. She was truly one of the best teachers we ever had.

Sara --so full of life, who loved children so much she dedicated her life to them--who was always smiling and laughing and making me laugh and who loved B so much and was an loving and devoted mother to Will and Finley. All my memories with her over our 13 years of friendship are fun, adventurous, and priceless. I loved bashing around Korea together and all the jokes and laughter and mishaps and friendship of that time! I love how we used to meet up every week when we moved back to the States for our children to play together. I love that we could just sit on the porch in the evenings with a drink and our stories. I'm so very thankful, we will meet again Sara. . .

We were so sorry to hear about your loss. Our hearts go out to your family and her friends. The kids and I were happy we could see her beautiful service today as we got dressed in our CMS Gear and watched. I have so many wonderful memories of Sara: camping, traveling, baseball games, parties, making cards, the list goes on and on. I told my mother that Sara did enough to fill at least two lifetimes. She had more friends than anyone I have every known. My life was made 10 times better from knowing her and her family.

Sara was a dear friend of mine in South Korea. Nearly every memory I have of that experience, Sara is in it! We lived together, traveled together and worked together. We explored new cities and climbed the Great Wall together. One of my favorite memories with her is a simple one - dancing the night away to "Billy Jean" in Seoul. Her smile and laughter was infectious. She will be very missed.

Sara, I cannot put into words how you have touched my life. You are and will always be a true friend, my sister from another mister! Oh how we laughed, even during the toughest of times. I miss that laugh, your smile, your funny selfies, but most of all I miss you. I refuse to use the word were, because to me you are and will always be a wonderful friend, mother, wife, daughter, sister and teacher.
