I knew Angela as my co-worker at CCU, and she blessed me with her friendship, wisdom, and prayers. I lost my father earlier this year, and Angela texted me a couple different times during her own chemo treatment asking me how my family was doing. Always offering prayers. That just speaks to Angela's kind, selfless, and godly character. Whenever she prayed in the same room as you, you could feel the Spirit move. It's such a privilege and honor to know her and call her friend. Rest in peace, my dear sister.

Angela was a coworker and faithful friend. She loved stopping for ice cream on our way home from Lakewood events. She loved to discuss how I "did my eyelashes" and we talked about lash lifts and primers. What she did best was ask others how they were doing. She often prayed for and with me to be able to carry a child as I experienced multiple losses. She often said she wished she could hold my baby before she passes. She prayed for my sister often who doesn't know Jesus and struggles with addiction. She cared so deeply for others and she acted upon it. Angela taught me so many thigns. Above all, I admire her complete trust and confidence in God to sustain her no matter the circumstances. I will forever be grateful that I knew her and all that I've learned from her life.

I had the privilege of working with Angela at CCU for many years. Although we didn't see each other every day, she had a way of making me feel seen and loved and appreciated. Her intentionality with relationships was inspiring. She was a true beacon of light to all who knew her. I will miss our conversations about Cambodia, her pets, her family, and her commitment to and love for Jesus. She will be greatly missed!

Although I have only known Angela three years, I feel as if I have known her my entire life. What a light she was in mine! She and I founded the Women's STEM Careers - Southern Colorado committee, and her work will continue through us. I was and remain inspired by her passion, faith, and kindness. I will miss her sense of humor and her warm smile. I loved her very much. God bless all the works of Angela's life forever, and God comfort all who mourn her with cherished memories.

Angela was a wonderful friend. She was a well of love and wisdom. Her words brought me perspective, hope and comfort on many occasions. As work colleagues, I had the privilege of seeing her hard work ethic and the way she poured herself into any task that was given to her. I miss her sweet sense of humor, warm hugs and genuine talks most of all.

I knew Angela as a coworker, the two years that I worked at CCU (2017-2019). She mentored me in my job and enabled me to succeed. She never minded that I would pop my head in and ask her all sorts of questions. We struck up a dear friendship and enjoyed almost daily lunch walks together, chatting the whole way. She was not merely a work mentor, but also a life mentor as well. She was a wonderful listener, always offered sage advice, and always upheld my husband Ben and I in prayer. I am so grateful to have known her and to have been blessed by her life. She was a woman of great faith and courage, and I look up to her so much. I miss her very much, and am comforted to know that I can trust her to the arms of our dear Father.

We will always remember Angela with great fondness and respect. Our travel buddy to Israel and Cambodia, movie premieres, prayer partner, and children's ministry worker. You fought the good fight and finished the race with strength, courage, and grace. Until we see you again in heaven . . . Garrett and Bernadette

My beautiful sister and best friend, Angela Melancon! She was sweet, loving, kind, a faithful friend, patient, gracious, and I could go on and on. No matter how bad life got (hers or mine), she would not back down and found a reason to be grateful in the process. I called once thinking I was beyond consoling. Half way thru the call, I found myself smiling and looking at the problem differently. Even with that bully cancer, she took it head on, fighting with all she had and finding joy and peace in the process. It was not easy! There were many harsh conditions she had to survive. But at the end, she was smiling, telling me all the people she was looking forward to seeing in the other side. Death did not win! LOVE won out because the fear of death was decimated by her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ who is LOVE! I love you sis! I'm going to miss you like crazy and losing you is going to sting for awhile, but I look forward to seeing you on the other side.

Angela: such a dedicated lady. She blessed us at work with her tireless and faithful energy. I was surprised at one point to discover the wild and crazy part of Angela and Tom's life, when she shared with us her excitement of them going to or coming from ice climbing trips. Best of all - Angela - a woman of God! Encouraging and inspiring. Thank you! Doug and Tammy Bray
