Obituary of Mary Gayle Ruiz

Mary Gayle Ruiz died Saturday, May 16, 2020, at her home in Colorado Springs, Colorado after a long illness.Ms. Ruiz was born in Trinidad, Colorado on October 31, 1965 to Pete, Jr. and Wilma Ruiz. After graduating from Trinidad Catholic High School in 1984, she majored in psychology at Western State College in Gunnison, Colorado.A long-time Colorado Springs resident, Ms. Ruiz is survived by her mother, Wilma Ruiz of Trinidad, Colorado; an aunt, Ann Wells of� Gandy, Nebraska; siblings, Celina Ruiz of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Amanda (Ed) Swartley of Aurora, Colorado and Larry (Marit) Ruiz of Durango, Colorado. She is also survived by nieces, Tammi (Dan) Schwartz and her grandnephew, Zachary; and Amber (Josh) Takacs and grandnieces, Zoey and Haylee; numerous cousins; and by her long-time friend Karen Bloomfield.
