Aunt Joyce, I've been here since Dec.20th. I got to spend the holidays with my Johnson cousins, Uncle Gene and Chipper. I have to leave Saturday but I will be back. I miss and love you so much. My cousins want me to move here but I'm still trying to figure out this thing called life without Mom and Dad. I love you and please tell my Mom and Dad I love and miss them too. I would give anything to go back in time and have you all here. I'll see you soon. Much love Aunt Joyce ❤️❤️

I just recently found out about Mrs. Johnson's passing. As a high school coach, I was privileged and honored to have coached Andre and that opened the door to get to know his parents. There are players that you will remember forever and there are parents that leave a lasting impression in our minds and in our hearts... Joyce Johnson was one of those very special moms. To the entire Johnson family, my sincere and heartfelt condolences. She will be missed my many and I'm sure all those wonderful memories have helped get you through a very difficult time... This is so hard for me to say goodbye to one of my best friends. We go back a long way. Our first meeting was at TLQ at PAFB. Later we lived across the street from each other on Wakita Dr. We've shared many lasting and fun memories just watching our kids grow up together. I've enjoyed sharing her strong spiritual connection with the Lord. We shared many tears as well as joys of laughter. I will never forget you my friend and I will see you again one day. Love always, Pat Bauman

Remember the days our moms worked together serving the community at Wilson Elementary School. The BBQ's, the graduations, the football games, the basketball games, the softball games, . She was their for us, supporting us, loving us, doing it all as most mothers do. I deeply feel your loss, nothing but love.

I remember A girl named JOYCE WEST who was always on the cutting edge of fashion - she was a trend setter . I always rememeber Gene and Joyce even in middle school - they were always a couple- always a power couple and making decisions to change the world by seeking a career in the military and staying married - this changes the lives of generation- i am proud to know them . They changed the world

I did not know Joyce personally, I only met her once in passing. What I do know is she must have been a kind, caring and remarkable woman, in all aspects of her life. She raised Lamar whom radiates so many fine qualities; she would have been the influence in his life. Lamar always spoke of his Mom, with much respect and love. She will be forever missed by him and the rest of her family and friends. May Joyce Rest In Peace, my deepest condolences to the Johnson family.

I met Joyce about a year ago. She was a remarkable woman. She impressed me with her kindness and positive attitude! Her love for her family was evident every time that she mentioned them. Even though I only had limited time with Joyce, she impacted my life for the better. I will always hold her in a special place in my heart.

Special prayers for the Johnson's, family and friends. I received a notification about a month ago that they had planted a tree in Joyce's name. It brings my heart joy to know that she will be remembered in a very special way. As that tree grows it will bring shade to those who seek coolness and when the leaves rustle in the wind it will bring sweet music to ones ears on a warm breezy day. Wishing you peace in your hearts!
