Obituary of Donna Dean Shirley

Donna Dean Shirley, 85, died June 3, 2020 at Pikes Peak Hospice at Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado.She was born May 14, 1935 to Glenn and Lois (Youngs) Richardson in Goodland, Kansas. She attended Goodland High School, graduating in 1952. Donne was a resident of Colorado Springs for forty years, and a previous resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was a longtime member of Community of Christ Church.Donna was a loving mother to four kids, grandmother to eleven and great-grandmother to seventeen. She loved the mountains and camping. One of her favorite places to go with family and friends was Green Mountain Falls. We have many wonderful memories there.She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Gene Shirley; her sisters, Phyllis Sammons and Glenda Pugh; her brothers, Darrell, Wayne and Larry Richardson; and her parents.Donna is survived by her daughters, Donita (Chip) Logue of Amarillo, Texas, Beth (Mark) Richards of Orange, California, and Joy (Craig) Zuber of Clive, Iowa; her son, Darin Shirley of Colorado Springs, Colorado; grandchildren, Kami (Jonathan) Dindinger, Kory (Tawny) King, Tim (Kari) Richards, Shannon (Andrew) Fortolis, Holly (Nick) Cooper, Sarah (Tyler) Rien, Ryan (Carolyn) Richards, Aaron (Leigh) Richards, Kelsey (Colin) Nelson, Levi Shirley, and Sydnee Shirley; great-grandchildren, Gavin Paris, Nate and Reese Dindinger, Keagan and Skylar King, Drew, Sofia, Ashton and Savana Fortolis, Charli, Avery, Blake, Owen and Gavin Richards, Jaylee and Asher Cooper, and Theodore Nelson; and her brothers, Terry Richardson of Goodland, Kansas and Richard Richardson of League City, Texas.A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
