Gina worked at my law office in Albuquerque for awhile shortly after she graduated from college. She had the greatest sense of humor and a wonderful smile, the kind where her eyes twinkled with mischief. I'm grateful to have known her.

I first met Gina when she came to our firm (Visit Albuquerque) as an intern from UNM in the early 90's. She was a quick study, always willing to help someone across department lines, even though her plate was always full of tasks/projects. It was only natural that Gina would eventually find a permanent spot on the A-Team. She was much too valuable to let another company grab her. I always marveled at how cheerful she was, organized, and oh' how much she loved Disneyland! In succeeding years, I watched her career blossom and her family together with Chris grow to become a model family example of love, always enjoying being close, while at the same time juggling professional responsibilities at the New Mexico Restaurant Association and in recent years, USA Swimming. Gina wasn't just a friend. She was a wonderful human, full of grace, kindness, love. God must have needed her help desperately to have called her home so suddenly. Anybody you came to know her here on earth has to be a better person for knowing and spending time with Gina. May your angelic duties in the heavens provide that same for other that didn't get the chance to know you here. God Bless you Gina & keep you in his loving arms! DC (A donation in your name has been made to the Arizona Humane Society)

No matter how stupid my questions were, Gina was there to answer them, always kind, always willing to find an answer, prompt in her replies. I will greatly miss her smiling face on the pool deck with the rest of us USA Swimming officials. We're one big family now with one less member. The family and friends who knew her closer are in my thoughts and prayers. Rest in peace Gina.

Like everyone else is saying, she was so wonderful to work with. Nothing was too small for her to look after for you. And she was just so friendly and kind and inclusive. Even the new people felt welcomed immediately. Our condolences to her family and friends. Sandy and Ken Graham Metropolitan LSC Officials

hey sis, so, so not ready for "this" day. not certain i ever will be either.... pretty sure we are on roughly day 4.5 (you were always the better 1 at math, amongst many, many other things), and i know this only because of the amount of sunsets/sunrises i have witnessed since you left us. none of them have appeared quite the same as they once did, for obvious reasons i suppose. wanted to let you know, i ironed my purple shirt and my shorts this morning (had almost forgotten how to do so). also polished my flip-flops, and threw my hair together quickly, just for you. i will always cherish beyond your knowing how lucky i was to have had the time i was afforded to be with and around you; i only wish there were more. eventually there will be though, of this i have no doubts. so very thankful for Kev divulging your extension # upstairs alllll those moons ago, rest assured i will be using it (and no, you cannot block me, no matter what). please say hello to Butch, and the rest, for me and let him know, just like in ‘95, it's only hair and will grow back eventually i love you, sps

Gina will be greatly missed! Her patience, kindness, knowledge, and responsiveness in her Member Services role were a steadying presence when the Niagara LSC needed her (and that was quite a bit!). Gina started at USA Swimming at about the same time I got involved in governance as the Officials Chair and it seemed like I was in constant contact with her for about 2 years straight and she never made me feel like I was a burden to her. Since then, I had made a point of tracking her down at every convention, workshop, etc. that I've attended to say 'Hi!', share a laugh, and thank her for all that she did. So, one more time, 'Thank you, Gina!'

Gina was that person who was always there for you. She always gave more than asked. And always someone you could count on. She was the matriarch of our "official" swim family, and the glue that held us together and kept us moving forward. The road without her will be filled with many tears and wonderful remembrances. Hugs to Chris, Erin, Daniel and Gracie. Your wife/mom was a very special person and will be missed for a long time.

Gina was a darling person--always a smile on her face and an offer to help. She taught me much in my early days at ACVB, and it was always a joy to see her on visits back to the office. May her memory continually bless your family and inspire you. Gina was one in a million.
