Obituary of MSgt Allan Leon Hopper, USAF,

It is with great sadness we announce the death of MSgt Allan Leon Hopper, 87, USAF, (Ret. October �73). Leon was born in Dennis, Labette County, Kansas to Paul and Esther Hopper. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on June 17, 2020 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.Leon was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. As someone who lived a Christ-centered life, he was always gracious in serving others and was a devoted deacon at his church.Leon graduated from Labette County Community High School, Altamont, Kansas in 1952 where he met his wife, Mary Jo Brown, who he married July 26 later that year.Known for his witty humor, Leon enjoyed his time outdoors, traveling, scripture study, and square dancing.��He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jo Hopper (2015); daughter, Cynthia Hopper (2018); and two grandsons, Byron Hopper (1977) and Michael Hopper (2018).Leon is survived by his son, Rex (Angie); daughter, Paula (Curtis); nine grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.Memorial Service, 11:00AM, Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at Pikes Peak Park Baptist Church, 3725 El Morro Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910.
