Obituary of Derek T Hart

Derek T Hart, 40, died July 16, 2020 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.He was born March 16, 1980 in Pueblo, Colorado to Robert Larry and Shelley June (Kochis) Hart.Derek volunteered at the Arc Thrift Store as a greeter.He loved the color purple, enjoyed doing beadwork, and was a Raiders fan. He also loved animals and had a fascination with tigers.Derek was an amazing young man with a positive attitude and a big heart for others. He was a loving and generous person who never gave up when faced with hardships. Derek's mom called him the, "year-round Santa Clause" because of his loving and giving heart. He is preceded in death by his brother, Shawn Hart; and his grandparents. Derek is survived by his mother, Shelley (Mike) Carara; father, R. Larry (Kathryn) Hart; sisters, Larrissa Hart, Jodie Greenwood and Nicole Langreder; step-siblings, Sarah and Dan; godson and nephew, Caleb; nephew, Mikey; sister-in-law, Heather; and the caring staff and family at the Weed Care Center.
