SFC Alfonza Wilson, U.S. Army, (Ret.) 79, died July 22, 2020 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.He was born February 6, 1941 in Trenton, New Jersey to Jacob and Josephine Washington. Alfonza was a medical nurse and a retired Sergeant First Class of the United States Army. His awards, decorations, and medals include the Good Conduct Medal with 6th Award, National Defense Service Medal, Combat Medical Badge, Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 Device, Bronze Star Medal, Air Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm, Army Service Ribbon, three Overseas Service Ribbons, Army Achievement Medal, three NCO Professional Development Ribbons, and the Vietnam Service Medal with one Bronze Service Star.He is survived by his wife, Betty Wilson; children, Cecelia Davis, Artis Parker, Chauncey Parker, Deborah Allen, Eleanor Akins, Rodney Parker and Ericka Wilson; and his dog, Abraham. A private Memorial Service will be held 10:00AM, Friday, August 7, 2020. The service will be streamed live.
