Obituary of Maj. Peter David Summer,, Ph. D., USAF III

Dr. Peter David "Dave" Summer, III was a beloved teacher, husband, father, grandfather and brother.� He was�born in Birmingham, Alabama on July�19, 1946 and from there he lived and traveled all over the world. He lived many places in the United States like Florida, Ohio, Colorado, Louisiana, Kansas, as well as in Japan, Germany and even time in New Zealand.� Dave followed his father, Pete, into the Air Force. He greatly enjoyed his time in the military, but his true passion and spiritual gift was teaching.�He taught the Bible for many years, as well as chemistry.�He had students all over the world and was able to teach at the Air Force Academy three times over his career.�He was awarded a Doctorate of Philosophy in Chemistry from the United States Air Force Academy upon his retirement.He passed away on August 1, 2020. Dave was preceded in death by Dotty, his beloved wife of fifty-two years.� He is survived by his two daughters, Kristina and Bronwyn; as well as their husbands, Mark and Tim; and his grandchildren, Andrew, Audrey, Carter, Gwyneth and Grant. He will be missed by all.Private Graveside Service, 11:00AM, Thursday, August 6, 2020. The service will be streamed live.
