My heart is broken!!!! I have always disliked the dentist! I was so tired of getting judged by someone who was supposed to help me. Then we met dr Calendine!!!!! He made you feel like he had known you all of your life! I had many many dental issues including getting nickel sized cysts on the roof of my mouth. Steve's first priority was to get you out of pain and get and fix the root of the problem! He always called to check up on us after a procedure and even offered his personal cell phone number in case of an emergency!!! Fly high angel!!! You were the best!!!

We learned of Dr. Calendine's passing today after calling the office for an appointment. Steve was a wonderful friend and dentist to our family for 20 years! My husband has anxiety going to the dentist but Steve became his friend and made him feel comfortable. They bonded over Ohio State (both alumi) and politics and the jokes they would tell each other had the office howling in laughter! Dr. Calendine's chair-side manner was top notch! After dental surgeries, Steve always called to check on us. During an emergency, he even opened the office and met us on a Saturday evening. To say we will miss him is an understatement. We are sending prayers of strength & healing to his family.

Dr. Calendine (Steve) was such a good dentist we followed him to his new office, or tried to. I didn't get a chance to see him...He was so young, younger than us! We have been seeing him for at least 15 years, maybe 20. He was such a compassionate dentist. I had some serious work done, one molar had two root canals done (which hurt, I had twisty roots) before it had to be pulled and a bridge put in. I have Sjogren's Syndrome and he was very understanding about my dental needs. He will truly be missed and my husband and I are still in shock, we just found out. Don't want to see another dentist! We didn't know he was ill, our sincere condolences to his loving family.

Steve was my dentist, as well as my brother. Pretty sure he got through dental school practicing mostly on me. I may be biased, but he was truly a special dentist, with a flair for making his patients comfortable, and then doing excellent work in their mouth. He truly cared about his patients. He said his biggest contribution to society was his ability to ease somebody's pain. Aside from dentistry, he loved being in the mountains he lived in/on, fishing, golfing and hiking. He loved sports and was so proud of being the official dentist for so many teams and athletes. Most importsntly, he gave his life to Jesus. Fly high, brother. Go rest on that mountain. I love you forever.

I called this morning to make an appointment after testing Steve several weeks ago with no response. I am absolutely heartbroken as Steve and Kara and I have been friends for over 15 years. My thoughts and prayers go out to Kara and all the kiddos. Steve gave me the beautiful smile three years ago that I had been wanting for 50 years! He will be deeply missed.

For someone who hated to go to the dentist Dr. Calendine made it OK for me. I was just getting ready to call to make an appointment to get a broken tooth taken out when I saw the obituary. He was great, he let his patients decide on their care, he listened and even once gave me his cell number to text If I needed anything. He was my dentist for over 10 years. There won't be another like him and I am so sorry for his family and all his patents. He will be sincerely and honestly missed.
