Obituary of Merle D. Bradley

Merle D. Bradley, 92, died August 22, 2020 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.He was born March 26, 1928 in Topeka, Kansas to Ray Henry and Grace May (Freeman) Bradley.Earlier in his life, Merle owned and operated Bradley Auto Electric with his father in Topeka, Kansas. He also served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War where he was wounded.Merle was very proactive in his community. He was an active Freemason with the Topeka Lodge #17 and Past Master. He was Executive Secretary of Scottish Rite Bodies of Topeka. He was involved in various masonic charities. Merle was a hard worker and a good provider for his family. Merle was also a Deacon in the methodist church in Topeka. He was active in the methodist youth groups and loved to help in any way that he could. He loved to build and would often do projects to his house, or help anybody with other construction projects if they needed.Merle was very outgoing, he loved people and had lots of friends. He is fondly remembered as having a wonderful sense of humor and being very patriotic.He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Norma Jean Kelly.Merle is survived by his wife of seventy years come December, Ann Bradley of Colorado Springs, Colorado; daughter, Karen Anne (Kevin) Wright of Sacramento, California; son, Steve M. (Mimi) Bradley of Alexandria, Virginia; grandchildren, Amanda (Jeremy) Osenga, David (Alana) Bradley, John Bradley; and great-grandchildren, Jonathan Osenga, Alexander Bradley, and Theodore Bradley.A private Memorial Service will be held, 10:00AM, Friday, August 28, 2020.
