Obituary of Virginia Kaye "Ginger" Strickland

Virginia Kaye "Ginger" Strickland, 80, went home with the Lord on August 24, 2020�in Colorado Springs, Colorado.She was born September 29, 1939 in Omaha, Nebraska.�She was raised in Council Bluffs and later moved to Pico Rivera, California with her parents, Richard and Elsie Wells and her sister, Geraldine "Geri".Virginia met the love of her life, Elwood, and they were married in 1956.She was a homemaker and a Special Education teachers assistant.Virginia was a loving wife and mother of three children, eight grandchildren and eight�great-grandchildren. She loved holidays and family gatherings of any sorts. Her interests included reading, home decorating, and fashions.Virginia is preceded in death by her husband, Elwood Strickland; and her daughter, Laurie Strickland.She is survived by her sister, Geraldine "Geri" Gue; her son, Lawrence (Ann) Strickland; her daughter, Rhonda Strickland (Rick) Caron; eight grandchildren, Josh (Brhiannon) Strickland, Greg Caron, Brian (Tiffany) Caron,�Valerie (Patrick) Cason, Amber Caron, David (Sirena) Caron, Jayme (Jakin) Tidwell and Mason Caron; and eight great-grandchildren, Keegen Cason, Ayden Cason, Liam Cason, Emma Cason, Greyson Caron, Rylee Caron, Elliott Caron, and Josiah Tidwell-Caron.Visitation, 10:00AM-11:00AM, Funeral Service immediately following, 11:00AM, Friday, August 28, 2020, Springs Lighthouse, 4777 North Academy Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80918.
