Obituary of MSgt Albert Evans Miller,, USAF, Sr.

Albert E. Miller, Sr. passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 30, 2020. After serving in the United States Air Force for twenty years, Al retired in 1990 as a Master Sergeant. He and his family moved to Raphine, Virginia and eventually settled in Peyton, Colorado. Al was active for many years in the Vietnam Veterans' Motorcycle Club and developed a passion for rescuing and training horses. Al worked nationally as a construction safety director before retiring in 2012. He is survived by his wife, Lydia Miller; his three sons, Albert Miller, Jr., Robert Miller, and Joseph Miller; daughter-in-law, Sharon Miller (wife of Robert); grandchildren, Taylor, Danae, Dylan, Lincoln, and Evynn; brothers, Clarence Miller and Samuel Miller; and sister-in-law, Theresa Miller. A brief Graveside Service will be held at 11:00AM, Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at Pikes Peak National Cemetery, 10545 Drennan Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80925.A Reception will immediately follow at Meridian Point Church, 5450 Meridian Road, Peyton, Colorado 80831. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Al's memory may be made to the Colorado Springs Rescue Mission, Care and Share Food Bank, or the Denver Rescue Mission.
