Obituary of Patricia "Pat" Lue Tyree

Patricia Lue Tyree of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away September 8, 2020.� She was born August 7, 1931 to Richard and LaVera Sabin in Enid, Oklahoma. Patricia "Pat" went to high school at Colorado Springs High School and graduated in 1949. She married Pete Tyree in 1951, after they dated while attending Colorado College.She is preceded in death by her parents; and her grandson, Brian Keller.Pat is survived by her husband, Perry "Pete" Chase Tyree of Colorado Springs; son, David Perry (Diana) Tyree; and daughters, Diane Lanell (Godfrey) Brooke and Donna Jane Orr. She is also survived by grandsons, Jeffrey Keller, Chase Tyree and Ian Orr; her sister, Grace LaNell Rockwell; nephew, Richard Steven (Michelle) Rockwell; and nieces, nephews and many friends. Pat always had an open door, a spare plate to set at the table, and a bed to sleep in. She was an incredible organizer and manager. She got very involved in barbershop - not only as a charter member of the Velvet Hills Chorus, and a baritone or a bass in many quartets, but also a leader in the organization. She served as President several times for the chorus and Regent for Region 8. Pat and Pete traveled often. Always a Barbershop or Sweet Adeline event was on their calendar, but they also visited many different countries. Pat never forgot a birthday, or special event...ever. She was very loyal, and committed herself to organizing many doctors' offices as her life work. Pat always dressed to the nines - totally coordinated from head to toe. She loved her video poker. She was an awesome event planner, skier, bowler, golfer, and the best cook of fried chicken and gravy. But most importantly, she managed a wonderful home, full of love and laughter. Pat will always be cherished.Memorial contributions in Patricia's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org.� The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Heartfelt Care at Home, Bear Creek Senior Living and Interim Hospice.�� A Celebration of Life will be held later in the year.
