Obituary of Deloria Catherine Schmit

Deloria C. (Hinnenkamp) Schmit of Seattle, Washington, passed away on September 11, 2020, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was surrounded by family at the time of her death.She was born to George and Anna Hinnenkamp on January 20, 1932 in St. Cloud, Minnesota. She graduated in 1949 from Technical High School in St. Cloud. Deloria married her husband, James T. Schmit, in 1953 and was fortunate to be able to celebrate fifty years of marriage in 2003 surrounded by family, friends, and loved ones. She was a devout Catholic and faithful parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon, in 1973; and her husband, James, in 2011.Deloria is survived by her two children, Stephen (Roxann) Schmit of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Linda Wilson of Moses Lake, Washington; and three grandchildren, Jessika, Rian, and Darryck Schmit.Deloria will be interred at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington, beside her husband, James Schmit.
