I will miss his humor and funny Jokes! What a Great Doctor..Person and Friend. His glass was always half full..he had such a great outlook on Life!! I had the best times working with him and Dr. Dalsaso Jr. for ten year! Every day was like Happy Hour..without the Alcohol!! My Stomach hurt from Laughing so Much!! I am so Lucky to have been a part of working with him. When he would leave work at the end of the day....I would say..be careful and have Fun....He would turn around and say....when have I not had Fun.. Too Funny!! That was Dr. Dalsaso Sr. I miss him already!! Angel

THOMAS A DALSASO 1936-2020 "Honour a physician with the honour due unto him" - ECCLESIASTICUS I first met Tom at a Rhinoplasty Course in Columbus Ohio in 1971. We were both embarking on careers in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. We both had received a Catholic education, Tom with the Jesuits and myself with the Christian Brothers. We both had four young children. We had a lot in common. This friendship endured for the rest of our lives. We met frequently, travelled a lot together, and enjoyed scientific meetings and our golf. Tom's last visit to Australia was in 2019. Tom Dalsaso was a wonderful human being. A great husband, a great father and a great friend. He was a learned, skilled, compassionate and understanding surgeon. I am fortunate that I have enjoyed this friendship for some 49 years. I am fortunate to have known this great human being and to be numbered among his friends. Tom Dalsaso, more than any person I know fulfils the view of Robert Luis Stevenson expressed in his "DEDICATION" THERE ARE MEN AND CLASSES OF MEN THAT STAND ABOVE THE COMMON HERD: THE SOLDIER, THE SAILOR AND THE SHEPHERD NOT UNFREQUENTLY; THE ARTIST RARELY; RARELY STILL, THE CLERGYMAN; THE PHYSICIAN ALMOST AS A RULE. HE IS THE FLOWER (SUCH AS IT IS) OF OUR CIVILISATION; AND WHEN THAT STAGE OF MAN IS DONE WITH, AND ONLY REMEMBERED TO BE MARVELED AT IN HISTORY, HE WILL BE THOUGHT TO HAVE SHARED AS LITTLE AS ANY IN THE DEFECTS OF THE PERIOD, AND MOST NOTABLY EXHIBITED THE VIRTUES OF THE RACE. GENEROSITY HE HAS, SUCH AS IS POSSIBLE TO THOSE WHO PRACTICE AN ART, NEVER TO THOSE WHO DRIVE A TRADE; DISCRETION, TESTED BY A HUNDRED SECRETS; TACT, TRIED IN A THOUSAND EMBARRASSMENTS; AND WHAT ARE MORE IMPORTANT, HERACLEAN CHEERFULNESS AND COURAGE. SO IT IS THAT HE BRINGS AIR AND CHEER INTO THE SICKROOM, AND OFTEN ENOUGH, THOUGH NOT SO OFTEN AS HE WISHES, BRINGS HEALING. Such a man was Doctor Thomas A Dalsaso William B Coman AM MD M.B.B.S. QLD. F.R.C.S. EDIN. F.R.C.S. ENG. F.R.A.C.S. ENG. HON. F.A.C.S. HON. EMERITUS PROFESSOR UNIVERSITY OF QUEENSLAND OTOLARYNGOLOGY HEAD AND NECK SURGERY

Senior was one of a kind! I remember at Premier, we had a trash can that he would trip over every time he walked by it! Numerous expletives would fly out his mouth, until finally we put a big piece of red duct tape across the top of it to alert him! RIP, old buddy.

I will miss hanging out with Tom on the Range Rider guest night and sneaking off for a little gambling. It won't feel the same without him, but he'll always be a part of those indelible memories.

He had the kindest heart! I remember him when I was a new nurse. All my coworkers said don't call him! I did call him because I thought it was necessary! He was wonderful and said Thank You. That was at the old St Francis. He was a great person. I am glad I knew him! I always made sure he had his flu shots. Wink wink

My trips with Dr Dalsaso which include Panama, Notre Dame and Bronco games will be cherished memories for a lifetime for me. He was a fun loving and generous man with a spirit of a teenager. The day I met him at the El Paso Club he change my life in the best of ways. God Bless you Twisty! Love René your Cuban friend.

Dr. D was one of kind. I am privileged to have known him, to have spent many wonderful times with him, and to be considered his friend. True to his wishes, my wife Mary and I celebrate Dr. D, recognize his example of a life well-lived, and send love to his family and friends--all of whom, although not grieving but toasting, will miss him. Love, Kevin Becker
