Obituary of Timothy Kevin Rader

Timothy Kevin Rader, 63, died September 28, 2020 in Castle Rock, Colorado.He was born June 3, 1957 in Springfield, Ohio to Gladys Marie Dailey and was adopted by Eugene Laverne Rader and Lois Stanley Rader.Tim graduated from Springfield South High School in 1975; University of Dayton, with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in 1979; and Wright State University, with a Master of Science in Systems Engineering in 1983. He was a highly regarded engineer, working at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, for ten years, and Raytheon Corporation, for thirty years. Tim was a big part of his community, to include being a part of a Ham Radio group who has and still provides support to Douglas County Sheriffs Department during events or natural disasters. Tim taught at Colorado Tech, taught Lutheranism 101 and 201 for Sunday school, and was a liturgist at Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Beyond Tim's career and teachings, Tim lived a life of love, selfless service, family commitment, and impacted many of lives he was involved in, to include lifetime friendships that will not soon be forgotten.He is survived by his wife, Tamela Bowers Rader; son, Matthew Rader; birth mother, Gladys Trainer; brothers, Todd Rader (Amy) and David Trainer (Kim); sister, Christa Fisher (Dave); in-laws, Larry and Evelyn Bowers; nephew, Michael Fields (Chelsea); niece, Phylicia Fields; and many dear relatives, friends, and co-workers.Memorial Service, 3:00PM, Friday, October 9, 2020, Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 4125 Constitution Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80909.
