Obituary of Austin Wayne Weaver
Austin Wayne Weaver passed from mortality to immortality on October 4, 2020. 1 Peter 1 3Blessedbethe God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to His abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,4to an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you"Austin was a believer in Christ, lover of people, faithful son, playful brother and servant friend. Austin was born April 26, 1996 where he was immediately welcomed by parents Rick and Lisa Weaver and older brother Scotty. He would soon be joined by younger sisters Jill and Malia. Throughout his young life, Austin's creativity and natural tendencies with music were quickly evident as he taught himself how to play the piano and would serenade anyone and everyone with song requests - or with his own masterpieces. He loved to sing the hymns and make melody in his heart unto His Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He would eventually add violin to his musical repertoire and enjoyed practicing and playing in recitals with his sister Malia. Among Austin's accomplishments, he published a children's book called "A Coconut Named Bob" at age 16, drawing from his memories spent with the family in Hawaii. After high school, Austin went to work helping his parents develop and run a program for students with dyslexia - a struggle with reading he also had dealt with. Along with his immediate family, Austin savored time with his grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, and all other members of the extended family. Countless hours were spent competing in card games, joking around the dinner table, rough-housing or exploring with siblings and cousins, and celebrating holidays together. In Austin's free time, he would be found thinking and meditating on his Savior Jesus Christ. The more he saw who the Lord Jesus Christ was, he became like Him which was really the part of Austin that people loved. Out of an overflow of Austin's thankfulness for Christ's death on the cross for his sins, he loved to remember his Savior each Sunday at the Lord's Supper. If the saints gathered for prayer, he was there because he knew that Christ was there in a special way and heard every word. He would not miss a potluck but never got much too eat because he would be off playing with the children or talking with someone who needed a friend. As he saw how Christ loved people day by day as he poured through the pages of scripture, his love for people grew. People mattered to Austin! Whether it was the mailman, the person standing in line at the grocery store, the elderly, or the young child that found their way into Austin's heart, he quickly made them feel loved and accepted. Recently, a friend of Austin's who was over 70 said that she loved Austin because he first loved her. 3For even Christ pleased not himself; (Romans 15:3) was a verse that Austin often thought about. He really manifested that in day to day life, whether it was helping with the meals or driving halfway across the country so his 81-year-old friend would not have to drive alone. Austin had a reservation in Heaven that was paid for by the blood of Christ. While Austin left the earth far too early in our minds and hearts, his impact went far beyond his 24 years. His laugh, his quirkiness, his sincerity, his kindness, and his love will be missed intensely. If you knew Austin for a short time or a long time, he would care enough to tell you that you can have a reservation in Heaven too! He would tell you that Christ died for your sins according the scriptures and He was buried and rose again according the scriptures (1 Corinthians 15:3). 23For the wages of sinisdeath; but the gift of Godiseternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23) 12But as many as received Him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God,evento them that believe on His Name:(John 1:12.) Due to COVID-19 and taking all necessary precautions, Austin's Memorial Service will regrettably be postponed. Please check back for updates.
