I like working for Larry at RTI and CAE. It was the most interesting and engaging job I have had in my 31 years working and Larry kept things light and fun. My best memory was meeting Larry on the first day of work and then literally not seeing him for the next 4 months when he took off on travel... that was a first! Many thoughts and prayers to Larry and his family.

Larry was a good leader who worked hard to create several valuable projects. I'm sure that many people have benefited from the training systems that he created. He was a straight shooterand always called them like he saw them.

Larry and I joined RTI the same year when it was a much smaller place. We were in different groups, but you knew most everyone back then through activities. He was one of the characters of the time who I remember. I mean that in a good way. You always knew what he thought. He was always interested in helping people and the organization. We are better off now because of it. I wish his family well.

I enjoyed working with Larry closely for 14 years at RTI and being close friend for even much longer time. He was a very caring person. I specially enjoyed the times when we travelled together and he joked about me eating multiple plates of food at Chinese Buffet. Larry, you will be missed. My sincere condolences to Larry's family! Larry and I spent many hours, day and night, working together on maintenance trainer projects for many years. We also made several extended trips to Huntsville AL. We were both there for 9/11. Larry was a great working partner and travel companion and we had a lot of fun working together. He was very dedicated to his family and really enjoyed spending time with his grandson. My condolences on his passing.

As I watched the video tribute and listened to the words of the music, it is obvious that you created a life well lived, Larry. "God gave us the gift of life; it is up to us to give ourselves the gift of living well." ―Voltaire May God be with your family during this season of change.

Larry was a wonderful and caring person. I enjoyed working with him and was truly fortunate to have him as my mentor and my honorary "Work Dad". He had always encouraged me to be the best and taught me so many things. His positive attitude was infectious and kept me motivated. At heart he was truly a family man who not only cared for his family but everyone who worked with him. He always had stories to share with his experience and jokes to humor you. My sincere condolences to Larry's family. Larry, you will be missed and will forever stay in my thoughts. Pragati Sonker

I worked with Larry for many years at RTI, and I considered him a mentor, a colleague, and a friend. He truly cared about seeing the people around him develop professionally, and enjoyed seeing them succeed. I will always appreciate his wonderful sense of humor during times of stress - it kept things light when times were challenging. Larry was a great man and I consider myself so fortunate for having the opportunity to know him. He will be missed by me, and so many others, but he will definitely never be forgotten. - Alan Amsden

Larry was a wonderful person with whom I had the pleasure of working with for a number of years. I think we can safely say he was somewhat of a character as you can tell from the smile in the picture. He was always insisting that the Army got the best products possible for the training of our soldiers. But most important to him was his family and he absolutely adored his grandson. it is quite obvious from the video that he and Tony had a very special relationship. My prayers are with his family during this hard time. Robin Baumgart

Larry was a wonderful man. He kept me employed many years and taught me more than I could ever express. When I was sick, Larry always donated PTO hours to me (because I always used mine as fast as they accrued). When my doctors told me I had to retire early, Larry planned and paid for the most lovely retirement party I have ever seen. I will always miss his Texas attitude and his laughter. As he always had that manly-man aura, he was humble and loving when it came to his family, and was quick to tell anyone how he dearly loved you. Jenny, Larry loved you more than I've ever seen a man love a woman. Kristal and Paul, Larry was forever talking about your brilliance. Sweet Tony, he loved you with an indescribable love. He wanted the world for you. Never forget the way he loved you. And the last thing I want to say is if not for Larry, I would have never had the opportunity to ride in the MLRS and HIMARS vehicles. You will be missed, Larry. Angie Fails

Larry Was a great man. One of the things that we have always needed in this country was somebody that was always straight with you and told the truth but most of all would help anybody in any problem. He will me remembered and respected by anybody who worked with him. His humor will be missed too - something we all need in these times. Don Gemeinhardt

Larry was a great guy. Not only was he my mentor, he was my dad. Being the same age as his daughter, he shared alot of Dad's wisdom whether I wanted to hear it or not. He encouraged me to do my best when I had doubts about myself. He took great pride in telling me "I told you so" when I exceeding his and the client's expectations at RTI. I will miss he terribly.
