Obituary of Cynthia Ann Palmer

Cindy entered this world on April 24, 1952 in Sedalia, Missouri to Warren and Freda Myers.She spent her early years in Missouri before her parents moved to Colorado. She was a graduate of Fairview High in Boulder and continued her education at CU where she achieved a BS in Accounting and Finance. Cindy worked as a CPA for many years at Wall, Smith and Bateman before she entered the Health Care industry. She and her son moved to California where she worked for WellPoint and Blue Cross. She returned to Colorado and became the CEO of SLV HMO which became Colorado Choice Health Plans. Cindy was instrumental in growing Colorado Choice and developing quality health care to the rural population. She was gifted at managing people and encouraging them to learn and grow in the industry.She enjoyed photography, cooking, traveling, family tree research and spending time with her family, especially her sisters. Her passion became her three grandchildren. She was a very proud and doting grandmother. Cindy was exceptional in her ability to always see the "Big Picture" and what was needed down the road in her industry as well as her personal life. She was very gifted and knowledgeable. One of the brightest minds God gave us. She had a deep relationship with Jesus and was at peace with her life.Cindy was preceded in death by her father, Warren; younger brother, James; sister-in-law, Peg (Wachtel) Myers; and nephew, Warren Myers.She is survived by her mother, Freda Myers; her son, Charles (Ashley); three grandchildren, Grady, Liam and Claire Palmer; her brothers, Darcy (Janna) Myers, Ernie (Virginia) Myers; sisters, Gail Myers and Marsha (Gale) Felmlee; her nephews, Casey (Kara) Felmlee, Cortney (Nikki) Felmlee, William (Chelsea) Myers, Cole (Alisha) Myers, and Sean Myers; her nieces, Stephanie (Josh) Potter, Randi (Kris) Asbell, Katie Wright, Kara Wright and Brittany Myers; and many grandnieces and nephews.Memorial Service, 11:00AM, Friday, October 23, 2020, Monte Vista Calvary Baptist Church, 2160 Sherman Avenue, Monte Vista, Colorado 81144.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Cindy's memory may be made to St. Jude's Hospital, www.Stjude.org, or Cornerstone for Orphans, www.cornerstonefororphans.org Events Memorial Service Friday, October 23, 2020 11:00AM Monte Vista Calvary Baptist Church 2160 Sherman Avenue Monte Vista, CO 81144 Email: secretary@mvcalvarybaptist.com Phone: (719)852-5090
