Roxie....We have shared so much over many years. It's hard to imagine our lives without you. We were so involved in the Berthoud community together....preschool, Berthoud schools with our kids, the Berthoud Community Center...We were both involved with the Seniors, Lioness Club, Mod Moms, etc. We always stayed in touch when we retired...visited each other, traveled to Europe together and vacationed many times in the US together. In the last years, when you and Chuck moved to Colorado Springs to be near family, we've had so much fun trying out new restaurants, going to the movies, getting together with friends, sharing our crafts. Aunt Roxie was always there. From the time I got my head stuck in a porthole window in Turkey, and we were being attacked by a giant octopus, so I thought. It was a bad dream. Aunt Roxie was there. From the time she made a Snoopy costume for my first play and helped me rehearse my 1 word line. "bah," Can you handle that? Absolutely, I said. She helped me get through it. From the time I fell out of the tree. Woops, missed a couple of nails on that last step. Aunt Roxie was always there. From the time I fell off the roof of the shed. Aunt Roxie was there. From the backyard campouts. What's that noise outside. Is it a bear, a wolf? Uh......Oh.....Aunt Roxie was there. From the times the train roared by shaking the doors off the house. Aunt Roxie was there. From the mornings Rob's Soundsign clock radio would come to life, "Journey blaring in the background. Come on guys, time to get up and up and get moving. Aunt Roxie was there., From the backyard barbecues, everyone together, under the warm Colorado sun. People laughing in the background, the barbecue roaring, not a care in the world. The slip & slide, running through the corn fields, making forts, getting muddy from head to toe, falling out of trees, falling off of roofs. The ghost of our childhood. Good times.....Happy times......Aunt Roxie was always there. Aunt Roxie was always there to bandage up, clean us up, calm our fears, get us through a school play. Aunt Roxie was always there to help make and share in those happy and fond memories. She was always there. She is always here. Hard to believe. Miss you guys. Love you guys.
