Obituary of Pastor Rodney Joe Garner, Sr.
Pastor Rodney Joe Garner, Sr., 79, died October 22, 2020 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.He was born March 4, 1941 in Stockdale, Texas to Craig and Margarett (Germer) Garner. Rodney went to high school at Stockdale High School and graduated in 1959.He was the pastor for First United Pentecostal Church of Security for fifty-one years.Rodney enjoyed hunting and being outdoors.He was preceded in death by his parents, Craig and Margarett Garner; three brothers; and two sisters.Rodney is survived by his wife, Janet C. Garner; son, Rodney J. Garner, Jr.; daughter, Debra A. Carter; granddaughters, Dominique Pratt, Lacey Garner, Melanie Neer, Courtney Huffman; and ten great-grandchildren.The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Colorado District of the United Pentecostal Church International.Visitation, 11:00AM-12:00PM, Funeral Service immediately following, 12:00PM, Monday, November 2, 2020, First United Pentecostal Church of Security, 3905 Bradley Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80911.
