Jestifer "Jess" Louis Hicks, 49, entered eternal life on November 5, 2020 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.He was born July 26, 1971 in Plainview, Texas to Raymond "Ray" I. and Estella "Stella" (Garza) Hicks.Jess was a long-standing resident of Colorado Springs, where he attended Cheyenne Mountain High School and competed in football and wrestling athletic teams. His proudest triumph was raising his two sons, Dex and Kain Hicks. In his many happy times he enjoyed biking, physical fitness and outdoor activities.Jess' dedicated work ethic led to his certification as a restoration technician during a lengthy employment with Dry Steam. He was a hard worker who consistently put family and others before himself. Jess was surrounded by many friends and family who will cherish their memories with him forever. Reliable friend, caring son, loving father."I love you more."He was preceded in death by his sister, Lisa Lee Alvarez.Jess is survived by his sons, Dex (Natalie) Hicks and Kain Hicks; grandchildren, Ace and Leila Hicks; parents, Ray and Stella Hicks; brothers, Frank (Maria) Hicks and Kelly Hicks; sisters, April Alvarez, Desirea Alvarez and Marissa Alvarez; special nephew, Johnathan Hicks; four nephews and ten nieces; and five grand-nephews and grand-nieces.Visitation, 1:00PM-4:00PM, Tuesday, November 10, 2020, The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 East Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80909.Attendees will be capped at 75 people and masks/facial coverings are required.
