Obituary of Bernard "Rudy" M. Rudolph

Bernard "Rudy" M. Rudolph, 77, died December 3, 2020 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was born October 21, 1943 in Richmond Hill, New York to Michael George and Emily Anne (Heck) Rudolph. Rudy was a civil engineer and had two bachelors degrees in Business and Civil Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He spent years working as a Program Manager with the US Army Corps of Engineers, a Deputy Civil Engineer of Operations at Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Station, and a contract engineer in the construction and operations of Schriever Air Force Base. He had an interest in trains and would dabble in model railroads. Rudy lived a private home life, and was a very devoted husband and father. He would take on home improvement projects and would be a true perfectionist when engineering home projects. Rudy also enjoyed gardening - he was especially proud of the many trees he cultivated at home, and he enjoyed planting vegetable and flower gardens with his family. Rudy served for over eight years in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam War and did one tour in Vietnam. He is preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Emily. Rudy is survived by his wife of over forty-one years, Cheryl Kaye (Nixon) Rudolph; son, Michael B. Rudolph; daughter, Marilyn L. Rudolph; and sisters, Marilyn and Lillian.
